Chop Logistics · BN 9432025 · Bauchi, Nigeria
This is our current policy. For any question, contact info@chop.com.ng.
Who we are
Chop is a delivery service run by Chop Logistics in Bauchi, Nigeria. Chop is a web app at www.chop.com.ng. This policy explains what we collect when you use Chop, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- Your account. Your name, phone number, and email address.
- Deliveries. Pickup and drop-off addresses, and your device location when you set a point on the map.
- Payments. We use Paystack to take card and bank-transfer payments. Paystack handles your card details — we keep the payment reference and the amount, not your full card number.
- Rider and vendor verification (KYC). If you sign up to ride or sell, we collect your National Identification Number (NIN) and a valid ID document. These files are stored securely on Cloudflare R2.
- Usage. Basic logs that keep the service running and help us detect fraud.
How we use it
- Process and deliver your orders.
- Verify riders and vendors before they work on Chop.
- Send order and delivery updates.
- Provide support and resolve disputes.
- Detect and prevent fraud, and meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
To complete a delivery, the rider and the vendor handling your order see what they need — your name, phone number, and the relevant address. We use Paystack for payments; their privacy terms apply to payment data. We do not sell your personal information.
Where your data is stored
Your data is held on secure cloud infrastructure. Uploaded verification documents are stored on Cloudflare R2. We keep your data for as long as your account is active, or as long as the law requires (for example, payment records).
Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA), you can ask to see, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us and we will action your request. Deleting your account removes your personal data, except records we are legally required to keep.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only — for sign-in and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
